Meet the Katz Group Real Estate team behind ICE District Properties.
Glen is responsible for acquisition, development and management of real estate, including developments within ICE District. Prior to joining Katz Group, Glen spent 28 years at Brownlee LLP in Calgary, where he led the firm’s Municipal Government and Commercial Real Estate and Development teams. Glen was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2006.
Hilary Lumme, RPA, CPM is the Senior Vice President, Property Management and Operations for Katz Group Real Estate. She is responsible to oversee all areas of property management, operations and leasing. She has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, and has held progressive leadership positions with organizations doing business in North America. Hilary currently sits as a committee member with Edmonton CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and has previously sat as President with NASCA (Northern Alberta Shopping Centre Association).
Alim Kassam is the Vice President, Finance for Katz Group Real Estate. He has an active role in investments and developments, including ICE District. Alim’s prior experience involves strategic planning for development projects in East Africa, as well as managing the development process and raising capital for a privately held real estate development company in Alberta. Alim has over 10 years of commercial real estate experience and has raised over one billion in both debt and equity. Alim also has a strong background in real estate financing, having worked as a real estate lender at a Canadian financial institution.
Len Bower is the Vice President, Accounting for Katz Group Real Estate. He directs and oversees all accounting and financial reporting functions. This includes planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities for operational and development real estate properties. Len has over 35 years of commercial real estate experience in Western Canada with both public and private companies. Prior to joining the Katz Group in 2015, he was CFO for a private real estate development company. Len holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction from the University of Calgary and obtained his CA in 1975.
